Learn how to set and edit your availability

Editing your Availability

Updating your availability calendar, whether you are just creating your post or you are going back to edit your post, is an important part of our platform. Being able to see who is available quickly is key to using SSC. Below we will walk through step by step a few ways that you can enter your availability.

If you have already posted your availability, you can go back to edit by clicking on your profile in the top right corner (Desktop) or the 3 bars in the left corner (Mobile) and then choosing "Your Posts"

From here you can see your posts and edit any details (Such as photos, bio, etc) AND manage your availability. You will see 2 links below your post that say "Edit listing" / "Manage availability". To access your calendar, choose "Manage availability"

Adding Available Dates

One way that you can edit your calendar is by setting your default schedule as all unavailable. This would mean all days of the week are UNCHECKED. (First image below)

Next, you will click "Add availability exception" to add in specific days that you are available and willing to shoot. (Third image below)

Adding Booked Dates

To create your calendar by just adding booked dates (Most popular method), you will need to select all dates that you are willing to shoot. I have selected all days of the week in my default calendar. (First image below)

Then I will click "Add Availability Exception" to add in dates that I am booked to block those days off in my calendar (Second image below).

Conclusion

If you are trying to figure out which method is best for you, I would suggest thinking of it like this:

If you are wanting to book as many dates through second/associate shooting as you can, I would fill out your calendar the second way mentioned here- by only adding in dates you are already booked and leaving the rest available (Default calendar would all be checked).

If you are only wanting to second/associate shoot a few times a year, it may be better for you to only add in a few dates in your calendar that you are available (Default calendar would be unchecked).
